Giving a new impetus with sound

With a younger, fresher, and more contemporary vision, FEDORA seeks to keep opera and dance alive for future generations. The platform’s sonic identity reflects its ambition to promote artistic creativity and international collaboration while infusing social integration, intercultural dialogue, and digital innovation on and beyond the stage.
The music is a powerful symbol for FEDORA: a platform that holds and uplifts emerging artists, offering them the support that helps their innovative creations to the stage. It relies on a simple idea, also expressed in the visual identity, created on a pro-bono basis by Landor, the world’s leading brand specialist and design group, the staircase to the stage: a sound designed not to overpower the artist’s work, but to elevate it.
From the staircase to the stage
The custom sound identity created for FEDORA highlights that moment of vertigo every artist feels before stepping onto the stage and taking the plunge. The composition is cinematic and classical yet infused with a modern twist through delicate touches of synthesizers. The piece is an invitation to move forward with the violins’ crescendo and the bass’s intensity. The creative team added evocative sound effects to suggest what’s happening in the unseen world backstage, where anticipation builds up, creativity begins, and dreams are shaped to come to life. The music invites audiences to the performance, in eager anticipation of the magic ahead.
